About Glenmorangie Distillery
Glenmorangie Distillery at Tain is one of Scotland's most celebrated and visited whisky distilleries, famed for its extraordinary pot stills โ at 5.14 metres, the tallest in Scotland, said to give the spirit its distinctive light, floral character. Founded in 1843 on the site of a former brewery, Glenmorangie produces a range of single malts that are matured in a variety of casks โ American white oak, sherry, port, and more. The Original is the UK's bestselling single malt. Tours run throughout the day and include a tasting of the range; the Signet experience offers a premium tasting of the distillery's most complex expression. Tain itself, where the distillery is located, is a handsome Royal Burgh with an interesting museum.
