To list a vehicle on GoNC500.com ("the Platform"), you must be the registered keeper or have written authorisation from the registered keeper. Your vehicle must be located north of Newtonmore in the Scottish Highlands (approximately latitude 56.98°N). You must be at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to hire out the vehicle.
Owners pay a one-off joining fee of £150.00 and an annual subscription of £300.00. The joining fee covers the initial vehicle inspection, professional photography, listing creation, and contract setup. This fee is non-refundable.
The annual subscription covers continued listing on the Platform, booking management tools, customer support, and platform maintenance. The subscription renews automatically each year. You may cancel at any time from your owner dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period. No partial refunds are given for early cancellation.
Every vehicle must pass a personal inspection by the GoNC500 site owner before being listed. This inspection covers roadworthiness, cleanliness, equipment, sleeping arrangements, and suitability for NC500 touring. The site owner reserves the right to decline any vehicle that does not meet our standards. If your vehicle is declined, the joining fee will be refunded minus a £50 administration charge.
Vehicles must maintain the standard observed at inspection throughout the listing period. The site owner may conduct periodic re-inspections. Vehicles must have a valid MOT (where applicable), current road tax, and appropriate insurance at all times.
As part of the joining fee, GoNC500 provides free professional photography of your vehicle. These photographs remain the property of GoNC500 and may be used for marketing purposes. You grant GoNC500 a licence to use images of your vehicle on the Platform and in promotional materials.
GoNC500 will create a professional listing description based on information you provide and observations during inspection. You will have the opportunity to review and approve the listing before it goes live.
You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle has adequate insurance that covers hire to third parties. You must provide proof of insurance to GoNC500 before your listing goes live. You must maintain valid insurance throughout the listing period and notify GoNC500 immediately of any changes to your insurance cover.
You must provide hirers with full insurance details, policy numbers, and emergency contact information at check-in.
GoNC500 charges a service fee of 5% on the rental portion of each booking. This fee is deducted before the remaining amount is paid to you. Payments to owners are processed within 48 hours of the guest's check-in date.
You are responsible for responding to booking enquiries within 24 hours. Failure to respond promptly may affect your listing's visibility and rating on the Platform.
You must complete the GoNC500 digital check-in form with each guest at vehicle collection, and the check-out form at vehicle return. These forms record the vehicle's condition, mileage, fuel level, and any pre-existing or new damage. Both parties must sign digitally. These records are essential for dispute resolution and insurance claims.
If you cancel a confirmed booking, you must provide a full refund to the guest. Repeated cancellations may result in temporary or permanent delisting. In the event of genuine emergency (breakdown, accident, bereavement), contact GoNC500 immediately and we will assist with rebooking the guest where possible.
GoNC500 acts as a platform connecting vehicle owners with hirers. GoNC500 is not a party to the hire agreement between you and the hirer. You are solely responsible for the safety, roadworthiness, and legal compliance of your vehicle. GoNC500 accepts no liability for accidents, damage, personal injury, or loss arising from the hire of your vehicle.
GoNC500 reserves the right to remove any listing or terminate any owner account at any time if: the vehicle no longer meets our standards; the owner receives consistently poor reviews; the owner breaches these terms; or for any other reason at our sole discretion. In such cases, the annual subscription will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation (UK GDPR). Your contact details are shared with hirers only after a booking is confirmed.
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
