Lochinver Motors is a small but vital facility for the remote Assynt region. Serving the fishing community and an increasing number of NC500 tourists, this garage offers basic repairs and has a recovery vehicle. It's the only mechanical help for a very large area of northwest Sutherland. The mechanics here are experienced with the peculiarities of the local roads and common tourist vehicle problems.

⚠️ Remote Area Advice: Mobile phone signal is patchy or non-existent across much of the NC500. Before you set off, save your breakdown insurance number and this garage's number offline. Consider joining the AA, RAC or Green Flag — their Highland coverage includes recovery from very remote areas. Always carry a basic tyre repair kit and know how to change a tyre.
