About Ness Islands

A group of small islands in the River Ness linked by ornate Victorian suspension bridges, forming a beautiful riverside walk minutes from Inverness city centre. The islands are covered in mature trees including giant redwoods, and the paths are flat and well maintained. A perfect green escape from the city, popular with locals for morning walks. The river is home to salmon and the occasional otter.
